Obituary for Rachelle Darlene McPhail (Hunt)

McPhail, Rachelle (nee:Hunt) passed on September 17th 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer at Peterborough Regional Health Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Jamie McPhail. Loving mother to Drew (Jody). Cherished grandmother to Sophia. Dear sister to Wayne (Dale), Darrell (Stefani) and Janice. Rachelle will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends. Rachelle spent 28 years at Sir Sanford Fleming College teaching nursing and will always be remembered for her positive contributions to the nursing program.

I met Rachelle in 1974. @ Oshawa General Hospital . I worked on 8M & she was a new grad who started working as a new RN. We became fast friends.
She was a fun loving , dedicated caregiver. Her goal was to become the best on hands Nurse, so that when she became a teacher she would have first hand experience to draw from for future nurses.She was a gifted individual & I am sadden by her passing. Over the years we lost contact, but I never forgot the good times we shared.My sincere condolences to all the family.

I worked with Rachelle at St. Joseph's Hospital when we were both staff nurses on 2D. She was a caring, loving and kind person both to her patients and co-workers. When she started teaching Rachelle was always up for a chat with past co-workers and her laugh was contagious. My deepest sympathies to her family, Rachelle will be missed. Maureen
