We are so sorry for your loss. Steve was a great neighbour, and he adored our boys. We will miss seeing his smiling face. Our boys will miss him, as they loved having him bring them treats while playing outside. Thinking of you all!

I was so sorry to hear of Stephen's passing. I grew up with Stephen in Sheet Harbour and we interacted lots throughout our childhood and teenage years. Stephen always seemed bigger and stronger than most of us,but always had your back if the chips were down. He could hit a ball a mile and was a strong skater,he had a great laugh and you could be sure if he had something on his mind he didn't mind sharing it. I haven't seen Stephen since our late teens but am thankful I had the opportunity to know him in our early years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time in your lives. Steve, also known as Papa to his 3 grandchildren, Ashlyn, Paige and Talin. He will be dearly missed with his kindness and open heart. Steve has just been such an important part of our family for so many years. The door was always wide open to all of us at Lynn and Steve's home. Steve was a lot of fun. He was kind and compassionate. This was a man who not only was a wonderful father but Steve held all of our children close to his heart. He had such an natural understanding of little ones. Our hearts go out to his family, his sons, his best friend and most especially to his grand children, who were so dear to him.

A Tribute to Steve: Steve was born into a very compassionate family with a strong and loving bond. He was a quiet, kind and gentle man. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren. Steve was a good provider and an excellent worker. You never missed a day of work. Anyone who knew him could always share a few laughs. He had a good sense of humour.
