My sincerest condolences to the family. My friendship with Peter began in 1950 when we both entered Grade One in Ville St. Laurent, a suburb just north of Montreal. Peter was one of my last links to that period of my life.

I walk around in a daze most of these last few days,I can't conceive that I won't hear his voice,laugh,snarky comments or have a big bear hug from him again. Pierre as I often called him was my friend as well as my cousin.I always said he was the closest I have to a brother as I am an only child. I loved this man whole heartedly.I feel I feel great sympathy and sadness for Stacy,Jake and Laura.Our family has one less wonderful person in it but he willalways be in our hearts and minds. 53

Dear Stacy & Family We met Peter and yourself in 1972 when we moved to Two Mountains in Quebec. Our children made the first contact and we have been close friends ever since -camping, travelling, biking and just enjoying life when we got together. Peter seemed part of our family – a witty humor, ready for adventure and always a good friend. Dear Stacy, Jocelyn, and Laura, We were so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. He kept surprising us with his endurance so I guess we thought somehow he would beat this thing. Stacy, I remember when I met you and Peter when you moved to La Grange. I made you brownies because your van had Ontario plates and a wonderful friendship was born. You have been a dear friend, but Peter was always a good friend too, much more than just my friend's husband. We always enjoyed Peter's quick wit and sense of humo(u)r and will really miss him. So sorry to hear of Peter's passing. A great film enthusiast [always regretted his name not spelled Godard!] and motorbike riding friend and companion in the 60's. Loss of contact upon my departure to Australia in 1971, then wonderful reconnections on return visits in 2007 and 2010. And in the last few years many Skype calls to discuss our respective retirement hobby of model trains. Now, very sadly missed. Much love and warm thoughts to you, Stacy and family. Eric and Anne
