Obituary for David Scott Matthews

MATTHEWS, David passed away peacefully late Sunday October 16th after a long battle with the dreadful disease ALS. He was only 46 years old. He leaves behind his mother Shirley Matthews, step father Rick Catulli, sister Bobbi-Ann Matthews, nephews Ryan Jaymz, and Kurt Cochrane, aunt Marie, uncle Eric, uncle Shawn Piercey, aunt Kate, cousin Danika (Josh Cannon), cousin Mike (Trina), cousins Alicia Walters and Rebecca Walters. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all supporting care workers and a special thanks to nurse Barb Purdy. ALS is such a terrible and unforgiving disease and requires so much more research to find a cure. Donations may be made to the ALS society in David’s memory. At David’s request no funeral service will be held, cremation has taken place.
