Obituary for Joan Bowins (Hogan)

BOWINS, Beverly Joan - February 27, 1942 to January 20, 2017.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Joan Bowins (Hogan) at Lakeridge Health
Oshawa in her 75th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Sheila Seto (Ken), Sandra Bowins and Susan Demoe (Bill) and her partner Bob Young. Left with many happy memories are her grandchildren Greg, Samantha, Meghan, Alexandra, Kendra, Kayla, Steven and Kailee. Mom was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren, Madden, Ava, Aidan, Jett and Camdon. Joan was the youngest daughter of Alphonse and
Margaret Hogan. She is survived by her sister Marcelle McNulty of Ennismore. Predeceased by her siblings Edward, Gerald, Carmen, Patrick, Bernadette and Aileen. Born in Peterborough and then later married and moved to Oshawa where she raised her family and retired from PPG. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre. Your care and compassion made this journey bearable. We will never forget the doctors, nurses, clerks, radiation therapists, and volunteers who were so kind to our mother. Thank you so much. We would also like to thank Mom's home nurse Melissa who took such good care of her. You always went above and beyond every day to make sure Mom was comfortable. Thank you Cathy and Karen her PSW's from Paramed for all your help. We all appreciated it so much. As per Joan's wishes she will be cremated with no public viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 4th from 1-4pm at the MOOSE LODGE, 731 Wilson Rd. S in Oshawa. To share online condolence please visit www.newcastlefuneralhome.com
